The "Duh" Factor

Am I too old (or perhaps jaded?) for these articles, or do I just have too much worldly experience? I ask because I think most dating and relationship articles targeted to women have a great deal of "duh" factor in them.

Take this article for instance: It lists twenty signs that you're being two-timed. They all amount to "duh" except a few that don't necessarily indicate anything, like number 19 (he has friends who are "players") or number 15 (he doesn't want to answer "certain" cell calls in your presence - since when is this hiding something? I thought it was good manners to not answer your cell phone on a date!).

Here's another one: 5 Women She Hates. Should men really dignify stupid insecurities like this? Women, do we really need him to take us on a tour of his office and display our photo prominently there? What happened to trust? Now, it's one thing if you're dating a guy you really can't trust - and then the question becomes not "Does he think his trainer is hot?" but "Is it worth it to be with this guy when I'm constantly wondering who else he's boning?" But for the average, normal, non-psycho woman, do you really need reassurance that he's not dipping his wick with his old college buddies.

So am I just being bitchy? Or are we - the readers and writers of this blog - just smarter than the average potato?
