Another Forced Occasion

So, for those who complain about Valentine's Day being a greeting-card holiday, what do we think about yet another obligatory occasion, the "push" present? While it's true that a woman sacrifices quite a bit physically and emotionally to have a baby, that's part of being a woman. And, if you're doing it right, the man is making sacrifices too - he's rubbing your back, bringing you odd food items at 3 a.m., putting up with your emotional bullshit, and more likely than not working to put the food on the table and the designer diaper bag in your brand-new minivan. So do you deserve a big shiny present for giving birth?
