Shoes
Arghh! How many pairs of shoes can a girl justifiably take on a two week vacation? Keep in mind I am not sure what dress I will be wearing for New Year's, I will be running and snow shoeing, and I am driving so space is not an issue.
For more than a weekend, I never take less than four pairs - brown casual, black casual, dressy, and sneakers. But if I'm going to be shlepping around in the woods, then hiking boots too; or if it's summer time then water shoes also. Of course, I don't own a dress I can't wear with black heels, so I'm pretty simple.

14 pairs? I think if it's your car, and you don't mind lugging them about, you should take as many shoes as you want to.
