Minnie Adventure

I recently visited Las Vegas to attend a very boring yet informative symposia about the wonderful world of Cat Scan and upon returning via the Las Vegas International Airport one of my co-workers was pulled aside so that her bag could be checked by a security screener. My co-worker had purchased a snow globe as a souvenir and she got pulled aside for packing a snow globe into her carry on!!!! Just so you know....these are illegal to carry on. Even if there is less than 3 ounces of liquid inside, they can NEVER be carried onto a plane, according to the security person that took away her very small snow globe and probably pocketed it.
This brings me to my point:
The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is said to be the busiest day for air travel in the US. It just so happens that I leave for Disney World from Seattle on Thursday, but my family leaves from KC on Wednesday. What does this mean? It means LONG LONG security lines and a super long time to get through those lines. How safe is it anyway? According to some studies and tests that have been conducted by government investigators, it may be easier than you think to smuggle bomb parts through security at certain airports. (I can't image that one of these airports could be Las Vegas after the snow globe incident). I have never tried to "smuggle" any type of item through security that might be questioned, I even put my powdered eye shadow inside the allowed zip-lock bag for liquids. I want no problems and I DO NOT want security going through my bag, touching my make-up foundation bottle and contact case after they have touched 96 other people's dirty panties without changing their gloves!!
